The eThekwini Municipality was recently awarded the highly commended award in the category of technical excellence at the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE) regional awards held in the June for the M25/ Bhejane Road Underpass Interchange in KwaMashu.

The NHBRC’s Disciplinary Committee imposed a fine of R1, 6 million on a developer, PJJ Van Vuuren Beleggings (EDMS) BPK (NHBRC reg. no. 4526), for failure to enrol 160 residential units which were under construction at Erf 1943, Elarduspark in Gauteng.

Mkhuze Airport facelift to boost KZN tourism

The tourism industry is expected to grow in Mkhanyakude, KwaZulu-Natal, following a decision by the provincial government to upgrade Mkhuze Airport.

Probe into N3 bridge collapse underway

A forensic investigation to determine the cause of the N3 pedestrian bridge collapse is underway, says Transport Minister Joe Maswanganyi.

The Department of Transport and Public Works apologises to road users for a delay in the completion of a R52 million contract to reseal, rehabilitate and perform structural maintenance on 20 km of road in Saasveld and Wilderness Heights.

Work on a Department of Transport and Public Works project to rehabilitate a 33 km section of the R341 between Oudtshoorn and De Rust is progressing well.
