More than R3bn spent on Gauteng roads

The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has spent over R3 billion undertaking heavy and light rehabilitation of the road infrastructure along various corridors in the province since 2014.

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Ismail Vadi, yesterday launched a R15 million road rehabilitation project that will repair 5kms of the P41/1 between Heidelberg and Springs.

R24m upgrade for old Evaton road

The Gauteng Department for Roads and Transport will repair the D904 road, which is also known as the old Evaton road, at a cost of R24 million.

The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved the environmental authorisation for the construction of a new road linking Nirvana Drive in Lenasia to the N12, near Zuurbekom.
